It’s true and yet perhaps better left unsaid, for it’s picking up the stones religion throws, and hurling it right back at them.
I have mixed feeling on this too. To be honest while I agree with what the sign says it strikes me as inappropriate. I’d rather see some sort of display, maybe an explanation of axial tilt or something on the history of winter festivals. An orrery perhaps?
I think the aim should be to provoke thought and wonder at the natural world rather than just put peoples backs up.
This sign kicked off quiet a debate here (unless the FFRF have multiple versions of this. It is an interesting debate and i am still thinking about which side of the fence i sit.
